Every week is wild and this week was no exception. We saw the top score of all time (193.9) as well as the worst score of the season (77.7). Mega Shark put up back to back 179 point weeks and has taken the number two position in overall points. Boomers made a late week trade to bolster their starting line-up and ended up posting their highest score of the season. Hopefully they can capitalize on their soft schedule over the next few weeks as they face Nibblonians and Pumaskulls.

Shenanihads lost their top RB this week and posted their lowest score of the season. Atoms decided to one-up the Shenanihads this week by forgoing a tight-end and scoring nearly half the points of the league’s average. The highest over-performing team faced the worst-under performing team this week and the results were predictable. Wholelottasmoke pulled off a win with only 127.3 and hold a 6-1 record despite their 56% win percentage against the field. Pumaskulls must have been hanging out with smoke recently, as they pulled off the lowest scoring win of the season with only 108 points.

A big bounce back week for Mega Shark, who posted their highest score of the season and the second highest score of all season. Nibblonians posted their lowest score of the season and have dropped in points for three straight weeks. Pumaskulls are picking up the pace with three straight wins, and now have the fourth highest total points for the season. They should make it four straight wins with their next matchup against the hapless Shenanihads, but face a underrated Shittysaurus team in week 8. The Shittysauruses lost a heartbreaker last week, but easily got the win this week. They’re due for some positive win regression, with 74% wins against the field, but a 2-4 record. Wholelottasmoke is the highest over-performing team, and pulled out another win this week to become one of two 5-1 teams. They’ll be tested over the next two weeks as they face the Shittysuaurus and Bunnies. There have been nine scores under 110 points this season, and Shenanihads own four of them. Things aren’t looking up as they have to take on the Pumaskulls and Giant Octopus over the next three weeks.

Linebackers continue to be the main source of points for most in the league, averaging 12 points a game. Safeties took over as the top producer this week averaging 12.4 points, while corner backs continue to be the worst: 7.6 points. Overall the point discrepancy between teams is the smallest for IDP of any position. The top IDP team is the Atoms (strategy working? lol) with an average of 14 points, while the worst IDP team (Shenanihads) are still scoring 7.1. Compare that to running backs: the top running back team is Giant Octopus with an average of 21 points, while the Shenanihads (lol) are barely mustering 8.9 points a week from the position.

The tiers look mostly the same from last week. Two tiers with just one team, Octo with the highest Wins/Points, and Shenanhiads on the opposite. In the middle there are three tiers, the good points/wins, the bad points/wins, and Pumaskulls and Shittysauruses who are the underperformers right now.

Another maybe-not-as-exciting week with a lot of blowouts. Some teams really got it going like the Atoms, some team took it to the next level like the Pumaskulls, and some teams completely fell off like Mega Shark and Surfers. The MotW started exciting but died down as the afternoon games played out. Nibblonians pulled off the win as the Bunnies fell flat, five of their starters scoring less than ten points. A lot of eyes were on Shellbyville and Atoms Monday night, and although Atoms put up his highest score of the season, the Shittysauruses were finally able to eek out a win (for now). Shittysauruses have been on fire since pretty much the second week and are now second in points and hold an impressive 41-14 against the field. They’ve still got some ground to cover in the division but their luck may have finally turned around. The Pumaskulls finally lived up to their billing as a top wide receiver team, averaging 25 points from their starters and putting up the 5th highest point total for the season.

Another wild week in the books. This week had less close match-ups than the previous weeks, and featured the biggest blowout of the season (100 points!). It also had our two highest scores of the season (184.5 and 181.6 points), and our two lowest of the season (84.3 and 94.3 points). A lot of teams ended up in the middle and the average score for the season continues to hover around 141 points. The average winning score this season? 154.5. The average losing scoring? 126.9.

There were a lot of bounce back teams this week. Surfers, Pumaskulls, and Nibblonians all took a big step from their average week 3 performances. Others teams like TGIF and Smoke came crashing back to earth. Shenanihads would have beat four teams this week, bringing their wins agains the field for the season up to 5-39. Giant Octopus on the other hand has recorded back to back high scores and has a 40-4 against the field. The system is now calling The Northern Pikes the power division, with 3 teams breaking the 600 point total. They also have the only teams who haven’t broke the 500 point total so the division seems a little polar. The Mayo boys however, have a pretty decent average amongst all the teams, although Mega Shark took a commanding lead this week with their 181.6 point performance.

This week we saw a huge gap in QB power, the Shenanihads scoring ZERO and the Nibblonians scoring 39 points. Defensive ends scored big this week with an average of 17.6 points, while cornerbacks in the league only scored 4.5. Five cornerbacks have been started this season with an average of 5.18 points, so beware when chasing CB points. Some teams are killing it with their drafted players – Shittysauruses have scored 573 out of their 614 total points from players out of the draft – while injury struck teams like the Boomers have barely scored 50% of their points out of drafted players. The Boomers have more than made up for this in free agency, where they’ve scored 200 points out of players from the waiver wire.
