Matchup of the Week – Week 8

Finally a match-up with some history! These teams have have been duking it out since our first season and have played each other eleven times. Shittysauruses have taken seven of these match-ups, but only two out of the last four. They surprisingly haven’t played since week eight of 2016 where Shitty beat the Pumaskulls 123.9 to 91.1. What did these teams look like in their first match-up? Well Shitty had three Chargers (lol) and Pumaskulls had a dog-fighter and a woman-beater.

Both teams were considered “unlucky” for most of the season, but Pumaskulls have won the last four straight games while averaging 144 points. Shitty has averaged 152 points a game over that same stretch, but only come away with one win. Both teams put up their worst scores of the season last week, so it should be interesting to see if one or both teams bounce back. Pumaskulls is crossing their fingers for some movement up the division, with the lead only two games out. Shitty is vying for a wildcard spot with her strong point total, but needs to start compiling some wins.

Best part of this match-up of the week is even the computers can’t decide who’s going to win. It’s almost a dead even 50-50 split across most projection systems. The teams have scored pretty differently this season, with Shitty getting most of the points out of QB and RB, while Pumaskulls have performed better at flex and tight end. This week their projected to play into their strengths with Gurley leading the RB pack for Shitty and Pumaskulls wondering which of Beckham, Adams, or Hopkins will go off. We’ll definitely get our money’s worth out of this one as the action will kick off on Thursday with Hopkins and Miller and carry all the way through to Monday with Edmunds.
