Week 4 Wrap-Up – 2017

Butthole Surfers– 169 points. Let that sink in for a minute… One hundred, sixty nine, points. The average league score this season is 99 points and the Surfers scored nearly double that. Beware the BUTT- this team is looking to dominate all the way to the Bo Bowl.

Shittysauruses proved they’re still in the running with the second highest score (133 pts), proving last week was just a speed bump on their way to playoffs. Close behind were the Atoms (131 pts), putting them closer to the top half of the league. That’s right- the Atoms likely beat out your top score of the season. The Atoms!

The Matchup of the Week – Giant Octopus vs Shenanihads – saw OCTO crash back to earth with their first defeat. While they still hold the top spot in Division B, they’re now in stiff competition with the Shenanihads and Pumaskulls.

Week 3 Wrap-Up – 2017

Southern California saw an unstoppable force burn through everything in its path this week, and we’re not talking about the Canyon Fire. Costa Mesa’s Giant Octopus put up the highest score of the season with 156.4 points and stands alone with a 3-0 record. This is the team to beat if you want to show you’re a contender for this year’s Bo Bowl.

Giant Octopus wasn’t the only one with a good week. Division 1 is shaking things up with a new leader – the Butthole Surfers. And rising up the division ranks to #3 is The Fluffy Bunnies, despite having the lowest total points in the league. Division B is regaining ground as this year’s Power Division. If you’re in the top half of Division B, you account for 3 of the 4 highest scoring teams so far.

For those who aren’t flying high heading into Week 4, there is still hope. 1/3 of this week’s top scoring players are free agents waiting to find a loving home. Was Week 3 a temporary boom or a sign of greatness? You be the judge, but it’s time to clear out those bench warmers. With 10 weeks to go, anything is possible.
