I’ll be posting weekly stat summaries from here on out, and here’s how those numbers are generated:
- Average: The mean of a team’s scores for the season so far.
- Points Rank: How the average of the teams scores rank against the rest of the league.
- SoS: Strength of Schedule. This is where it gets tricky. Behind the scenes there’s a team score calculated by looking at a team’s average points, max points, and minimum points. These are each weighted in a formula and added (Average = .55, Maximum = .19, Minimum = .26). These weights were determined with a linear regression formula against all the past seasons data and are the best predictor of future scores. Once the team’s team score is determined, the scores for every team you’ve faced so far are added up to give your Strength of Schedule Rank. 1 is the toughest schedule, 12 is the weakest.

- RoS SoS: Rest of Season Strength of Schedule. This is computed the same way as Strength of Schedule but instead of looking at the teams you’ve played, looking at the teams you have yet to play. 1 is the toughest schedule, 12 is the weakest.
- PWR Rank: This is the spooky computer algorithm telling you how good your team is. It’s actually not that spooky at all and tries to determine which teams have the best chance at making the playoffs by adding together your Team Score, Rest of Season Strength of Schedule, and Games Back. These three inputs are weighted equally and added together and ranked to determine the rank.
- Power Rank: The league’s aggregated rankings. These are calculated by taking a combination of PWR Rank, Fantasy Pros rankings, and each league members rankings. These are weighted equally and averaged to determine each team’s rank. When you hear someone saying a team is ranked at X, these are the rankings they’re talking about.
- Win v Field: Win Percentage versus the Field. This field is calculated by comparing your team’s score for the week to the rest of the league, and taking a count of how many teams your score was greater than. If you had the highest score for the week, this count would be 11, as you had a higher score than every other team in the league. These counts are added up for all weeks, and divided by the total amount of games possible to “win” (weeks into the season multiplied by the total amount of teams able to be beaten). Ties against another score do not count in this system, as it only counts the teams you would have beaten. The number output is the percentage of teams you would have beaten week by week for the season.
