Another god awful week of predictions, again the machine only picking 2 out of 6 games including messing up the “blowout” of Boomers over Macho Men. Even one of the games it got right was considered “too close to call”. It’s obvious the simulation isn’t taking into account recent trends in teams, and I’m working on a newer version that leans more heavily on recent scores. In the meantime, here’s another set of terrible predictions:

Atoms versus Boomers is probably the marquee matchup this week with the machine favoring Atoms. Looking at the last 4 weeks the teams are pretty evenly matched up, each averaging around 125 points. The major difference is in Boomers’ stability (almost all his scores the last 4 weeks are around 120 to 125 points) and Atoms’ volatility (Week 10: 157 points, Week 11: 95). Pumaskulls over Robo looks like the blowout of the week, although we saw what happened last week. Shenanihads versus Songbirds is another interesting matchup, both teams averaging about 110 points over the last 3 weeks and both vying for a playoff spot.
