2015 Rule Changes

• Schedule: Last year we had a new schedule, where you would play each other team in the league at least once, and a couple teams from your division twice. We’ve decided to revert this change and go back to playing every team in your division twice, and 4 teams out of your division once. This means that you won’t play every team every season, but will make for some more exciting and competitive divisions, especially in the final weeks of the season.
• Trading FAAB: This change is a little more complicated, but we’ve decided to allow the trading of FAAB budget alongside players. ESPN doesn’t allow this through their website, but since I have the ability to modify each team’s FAAB, we decided to go for it. You will need to specify in the notes of your trade if you are including or requesting FAAB budget along with the players you indicate, and I will confirm with both parties the FAAB amount being traded before pushing the trade through.

• WR/TE slot is here to stay: I personally love this flex spot and after some heated debating, we decided to keep it.
• Playoffs will remain 4 teams and seeding will stay the same: We talked about adding 2 more teams and giving the top 2 seeds a bye, but decided it was just too much to have half the league going to playoffs, and it would reduce the regular season to 13 weeks.
• Snake draft here to stay: We’ll bring it up every year and one day we’re going to convince you guys to switch to auction draft. Trust me, it’s way better.
• We liked return yards: We liked the added depth that gave the league last year and decided to keep them.
• Dynasty/Keepers: Something else that will come up every year, but if we’re going to make the switch to something like dynasty, we need to decide sooner after this season. We’ll probably bring this up as soon as the 2015 season is over so that we can get a head start on hammering out the rules.
