Two of our most volatile teams go at it this week. These teams have been all over the place, with scores as low as 95 and as high as 180. Mega Shark posted a nice bounce back last week, while Nibblonians have dropped for three straight weeks and posted their lowest point total for the season. These teams faced off twice last year with Nibblonians taking both games. Both teams are in the middle of a tight division race and hoping that their trip to the opposing division will give them a leg up.
PWR and player rankings both favor Mega Shark in this one as Nibblonians will be with out two of her top 4 players (Brown and Cupp) and without Nick Vigil. She’ll be relying on some savvy waiver-wire pickups to fill in the gaps like Taylor Gabriel and Willie Snead. Mega Shark will be leaning on his KC combo of Tyreek Hill and Kareem Hunt who have averaged 40 points a week combined. Fun Fact: This same combo was average 35 points a game through 6 weeks for Giant Octopus in 2017. The average dropped to 25 points in the second half. The teams are projected pretty similarly for nearly every position but wide-receiver, where Mega Shark is projected to score almost twenty more points with his trio of Jones, Hill, and Cooks.
Nibblonians will see most of their players in the early games, while both teams will be waiting until late Sunday night to see what happens with four Falcons players involved in the matchup. Sanu will have to battle off Julio, Ridley, and Campbell.
Final Prediction:
The Nibblonians: 135
Mega Shark: 145
